Meet Jue Wang, the Debt Capital Markets and Derivatives Manager at TICF, bringing nearly eight years of expertise to TICF. With a passionate drive for financial markets, Jue’s journey is a testament to his dedication and purpose-driven approach.

PASSION-FUELED CAREER:

Jue’s passion for markets began during his time as an undergrad at the NYU Stern School of Business and has been the thread throughout his career’s various positions and industries. With a consistent focus on markets, Jue has been able to translate his learned knowledge and insight into strategic conversations. He shared, “One of my favorite things about my job is being able to take what I have learned from reading books, news, and other research and disseminating my findings with our leadership team and parent company.” In addition, Jue has leaned into a teaching type of role, “being able to share my knowledge, both practical and theoretical, with my team is extremely rewarding for me. Fostering discussions around financial markets and how we best position our organization helps create a stronger team.”

PURPOSE-DRIVEN CULTURE:

While each department at TICF helps to contribute to the organization’s purpose (enabling the movement of goods to do good), Jue provided a perspective on how his role and department provide unique support. “At TICF, we are in the forklift, commercial truck, and material handling industry through our financial services, which help customers purchase the products our OEMs produce and our dealers sell. My department is tied to this goal because, ultimately, we are the first step to ensuring we achieve a low cost of funds to stay competitive in the marketplace.” For Jue, being a part of the purpose-driven organization is both inspiring and fulfilling.

THE TOYOTA WAY OF WORKING:

One of the highlights of joining TICF was knowing that his personal values aligned with the organization’s. Jue explained, “I have always had a sense of ownership throughout my career. Coming into TICF with that mindset and seeing the emphasis on the Core Value of Being Faithful to Your Duties clicked for me. It’s about having a strong character to think and act like an owner. If you think and act like an owner, you’re going to do what’s in the best interest of the company and push to innovate and move forward.” In addition to the Toyota Core Values, Jue appreciates the kaizen mindset, “the kaizen way of working truly aligns with who I am as a person. Seeing inefficiencies or areas of opportunity drives me to look for ways we can make slight changes and continue to tinker with our process to improve it. Taking this approach has really served me well during my time at TICF.”

LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK:

During his free time, you can find Jue diving into a good book, boxing, or cooking up something tasty! He tries to read at least one book a month and notes that he “loves reading a lot. It’s part of the continuous improvement I strive for, especially when it comes to understanding financial markets. Understanding comes both from reading about psychology and history. I am constantly reading and learning!”
